The Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce (GECC) is excited to kick off "Englewood Reimagined: Window Wonderland," a holiday window decorating contest that invites local businesses to showcase their creativity and community pride. Launched on November 1, 2024, this initiative is part of the ongoing Englewood Reimagined series, highlighting Englewood's revitalization through vibrant, holiday-themed displays.
A Community Celebration of Creativity and Transformation
Window Wonderland encourages local businesses to craft unique storefront displays that blend holiday cheer with symbols of Englewood’s resilience and growth. Each display reflects the theme of a “reimagined” Englewood, inspiring both visitors and residents to experience the neighborhood’s cultural pride and future vision. The GECC will spotlight each display on social media, celebrating the creativity and community spirit of Englewood's business owners.
Join the Contest and Win Big!
One business will be awarded a $2,500 grand prize based on community votes. The winner will be announced at GECC’s Business & Brunch Event on December 14, following the Teamwork Englewood Pitch Contest. The winning business will also be featured in a post-event showcase, underscoring its role in the Englewood Reimagined journey.
How to Participate
Local businesses can register at www.gechamber.com/windowwonderland through November 15. Decorations should be completed by November 27, and voting starts on November 28, coinciding with Small Business Saturday. Community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite window display, with voting open until December 12.
Community Involvement and Holiday Events
The GECC invites community groups, artists, and residents to join this festive celebration. A Window Walk with a Purpose will encourage shoppers to explore decorated storefronts while supporting local businesses. Additional pop-up holiday markets may offer even more opportunities to shop locally and connect with Englewood’s vibrant business community.
